CQ (2001), directed by Roman Coppola, is a fun, sweet tribute to the making of Barbarella (and films like it). A young film editor winds up directing a picture about Agent Codename: Dragonfly, a beautiful agent who is hired to steal a weapon from a revolutionary group hiding out on the dark side of the moon. Their cause? “We need to be free. To…make love all day. Every day”, according to their Che Guevara-lookalike leader. Also, the soundtrack is great! I’ll put up more from this movie soon.
